Sunday, January 28, 2007 Fleece Artist & Handmaiden kits abound!
The wait is over… observe some crazy yarn goodness:
Clockwise:
Handmaiden Wool Stretto & Lady Godiva for a Maid Marian vest (Mermaid)
Fleece Artist Kid Silk for scarf kit (Paris)
Fleece Artist Scotian Silk for Celtic Vest (Bronze)
Handmaiden Sea Silk for a Forest Canopy shawl (Mermaid)
Fleece Artist Big Baby Alpaca & Alpaca Aran for Ribbed Jacket (Woodland) (can’t find a pic)
Handmaiden Grande Godiva for a Moebius Capelet (Mermaid)
And more:
And yet, more!
I haven’t worked on my baby projects in the last week, work was exceptionally busy and I’ve been wiped. I did reswatch for the secret project, and am now on gauge so I’m ready to start! Hooray! I also cast on for a couple of super easy knits for those too tired to think times.
Here’s the beginnings of a Fleece Artist Goldielocks shawl (in Mermaid – this is the version with a higher silk content, so the yarn has a gorgeous sheen to it):
And here’s the start of a Handmaiden SilkSpun shoulder wrap in Bronze I started on. Once I had the yarn I couldn’t resist starting it right away. It’s divine.
This upcoming week is my last at work before I start mat leave, so I hope to get more knitting done over the next few weeks before the baby arrives. We’ll see how that goes! Of course, I’m going to switch gears back to the baby knitting and secret project knitting… so all of these gorgeous woolies will be in stash for a while, but ahhhh. They will be admired and petted often until they are knitted up! (Which at this rate will be in 2025.)
