Well despite being sick the last week I have done a teeny bit of knitting… not much in the spinning arena though, since I’ve been spending most of my downtime reclined. I did manage to finish up my two baby hats that were on the needles:

bunny ears hat
Pattern: Bunny Ears hat by Susan B. Anderson available from her book Itty Bitty Hats
Yarn: Rowan Cashsoft DK in Mist (505)
Needles: 4.5mm Addi Turbo 16” circular, 4.5mm Brittany DPNs,

Yarn: Rowan DK handknit cotton in Lupin (205), Shell (310), and Celery (309)
Needles: 4.5mm Lantern Moon 16” circular, 4.5mm Brittany DPNs,

Since I’ve been spending some extra time on the couch, I’ve also been looking at a bunch of pretty things I’d love to make online. The new spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits has so many beautiful things in it. I can’t wait to pick up a copy. Not that I’ll have time anytime soon but it’s fun to read anyway. There are a whole bunch of gorgeous projects I’d love to make someday… the Green Tea Raglan for one, and the Dollar and a Half Cardigan is another. I also think the Petunia Tote is really cute.

I also was browsing through Kim Hargreaves’ site, and I love, love love the Temptation sweater kit. That would be extremely warm in Big Wool, and it’s super cute too. I also especially love her Flourish scarf kit, except that a) it’s crochet, and I don’t, b) it has beaded trim, which frightens me a little bit, and c) it uses Kidsilk Haze, which frightens me more than a little bit. Teeny tiny unrippable mohair yarn scares me lots. But I do love the scarf. So very pretty.

Well I only have nine days left to go until my due date so we’ll see how much wooly fun I can fit in beforehand. First I need some energy! In the meantime, I’m sticking to the little projects… I just cast on for some bootees.
