Time for the first yarn & fiber update to weetsie woolens!

I’ve added a bunch of handspun yarns and hand dyed fibers to the Current Yarns & Fibers page. Right now there are single pics for each item available, and a link to the eBay auction for each item that contains the full details and more pictures. All of the yarns but one are being auctioned as lots of 2-4 skeins, and they are a variety of Targhee, Corriedale, Blue Face Leicester and Merino wools. The fibers are all hand dyed by me, using Wiltons Cake Dyes and Kool Aid, and are from cruelty-free fleeces I purchased nice and clean from my friends at Frene Creek Farm and Homestead Wool & Gift Farm, lovely homesteads in Wisconsin where I purchase most of my fibers. There is a selection of Jacob, Romney/Border Leiscester cross, Grey Cotswold, and Targhee to choose from.

Soon I’ll be updating the galleries with pictures of past yarns and fibers, as well as some of my (rather boring) knitting exploits. One day I’ll break into my stash and get on to some of the pretty lace shawl patterns I have, but with my current time constraints, I’m somewhat restricted to hats and scarves… little things that can be easily picked up and put down. I’ve got lots of fiber projects on the go to blog about, so I hope to be posting fairly often.
